Another star has left the firmament in the early part of 2016. We will all miss the lovable Doris Roberts, best known as Ray Romano's overbearing, meddling mom on tv's Everybody Loves Raymond.
Ms Roberts was 90 years old No details yet on cause of death.
She started out as a stage actress and then did film and, most notably. television. She was in the movies The Honeymoon Killers and Barefoot in the Park, displaying her versatility, handling comedy and drama with equal aplomb.
Doris found her niche, however, on television, guest starring n Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman as pseudo-psychic Dorelda Doremus in a continuing story arc, Remington Steele and St. Elsewhere.
She was raised in the Bronx, NYC though she was born in St. Louis, MO. A brilliant character actress, she will be missed by family, Hollywood and fans alike. God bless Doris Roberts.
OMG, totally forgot she was in Honeymoon Killers. Wasn't she also in Saturday Night Fever? Loved her.
