Results of My Disco Diana Poll

Miss Ross @ Studio 54
My blog poll asking you to "Vote for your fave dance song(s) by Miss Ross" is now closed.

First, I'd like to thank those of you who voted. There were a total of 27 votes. Participants could vote for more than one title. Here's how you weighed in on Diana's dance songs:

"The Boss" was the clear winner with a total of 11 votes. "Love Hangover" had nine. "Upside Down" received eight votes. "Swept Away" swept up five. "I'm Coming Out" and "Chain Reaction" each garnered four. "Take Me Higher" took in three. "Eaten Alive" ate up two. "I Ain't Been Licked" and "Work That Body" tied at the bottom with a single vote each. And no one voted for "No One Gets the Prize."

Thanks once more, voters. New dance-music poll to be posted soon.

The Bob Esty poll on this blog has just closed and here are the results!

Cher's "Take Me Home" is the winner by one vote (16 total votes), just edging out Barbra's "The Main Event" (15 votes). There were 26 participants on the poll in all, and it was possible to vote for more than one song.

Donna Summer's "Last Dance" came in third place with 11 votes tallied.

Cher's roller-disco classic, "Hell on Wheels," was tied with The Weather Girl's "It's Raining Men" at 10 votes each. D.C. LaRue's disco classic "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" follows with 7 votes cast.

Raquel Welch's camp classic, "This Girl's Back in Town" received 6 votes while the late Andy Williams' "Love Story" theme (disco version) was favored with 5 votes. Ava Cherry's "Streetcar Named Desire" garnished 4 votes.

Thanks to everyone who voted, and to Bob Esty! Bob Esty Month continues, meanwhile, on this blog through April until Bob's birthday (April 20)! Stay tuned!

Diva Feud Poll Results

I swear I'll be late for my own funeral. Here, finally, is the mention of my poll results on this blog, regarding the burning question (at least I thought it was burning): "Whose Side Are You Taking During the Latest Diva Feud?"

The choices were Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj regarding the then-hot news of their intense American Idol verbal battle royale from the time the poll was posted. But hot shit can become a cold turd in days with my readers. The poll was open for ten days. It got five responses.

Carey received three votes, Minaj managed two. Yay for Mariah. Boo for Minaj.

A new poll will be posted on this blog soon. Hopefully, you'll be as mesmerized by the question put to you as you were about picking your favorite Andy Williams tune on my previous poll.

Results of the Andy Williams Poll

Dig that sweater! The people's poll is now closed at Leave It to Beaverhausen regarding the instruction to "Vote for your favorite song by Andy Williams." The Late Mr Williams got the most votes for "Moon River." Are you surprised?

You know, in his 2009 autobio, Moon River and Me: A Memoir, Andy wrote about his experimenting with LSD. That explains having The Osmonds on his show. And this sweater. But, wow, imagine tripping down Moon River!

Anyhow, in one week, we averaged one vote daily.  Three for "Moon River;" two for "Most Wonderful Time of the Year," beloved holiday number; one vote each for the themes for "Love Story" and "Days of Wine & Roses."

R.I.P., Andy Williams. And thanks to all who participated in the poll!
