While I celebrate equality and the right of everyone to marry if they choose, I have personal qualms about marriage. For me, being gay is the freedom not to get married as well as the right not to bear arms... or children. (I often tell people that I can't bare children though I don't mind baring my arms, especially in summertime.)
I kind of imagine that, if I got married, it might turn into a hellish, horrible Harriet Nelson existence. I think Ellen Greene best describes, in the film "Little Shop of Horrors," what my married life could become. Aiiiiieeeee!
How true/Amen to all dat' stuff!
