Today, there are shock waves throughout the land. Like Lucy and Ricky divorcing, or Cher leaving Sonny, long-time, beloved entertainment couple, The Captain and Tennille, are parting ways. Do That to Me One More Time? I think maybe not.
According to CBS News: "Daryl Dragon, 71, and Cathryn
Antoinette 'Toni' Tennille, 73, filed
the papers in Prescott, Ariz., on Jan. 16, the court clerk said." They'd been married for 39 years.
The duo released their debut album in 1974 after being discovered by Neil Sedaka. From 1976-77, they hosted their own CBS-tv variety series.
According to The Washington Post, "Dragon suffers from a neurological
condition, similar to Parkinson’s, characterized by such extreme tremors
he can no longer play keyboards."
The Captain and Tennille are best known for their hit songs, "Love Will Keep Us Together," "Muskrat Love" and "Do That to Me One More Time."
