Cher's September Song

Cher is promising us that she has the first single from her upcoming album dropping this month of September. Title unknown, though her duet with Lady Gaga, "The Greatest Thing," will be the second single, expected around the holiday season/ end of year.

Cher's world tour (Farewell Tour: the Encore?) may be delayed because, as she tweeted: “About tour this year – I broke my foot in the 80's and between 'Burlesque' and falling on thrown hat on stage! I have to have minor work done on my foot! It must have time to heal before I go running back and forth across the stage like a crazy teenager! We are working on the show and it's beautiful!” I truly hope it's foot -- and not face -- surgery she's undergoing this time round the bend.

But are rumors of her getting married again for real, or are they just part of the publicity mill for the release of the album, which she promises is serious disco/club laden? Regarding the album, the diva exclaims: "I want to run, to dance, for club to put my songs on and watch everyone dance, play Gaga duet for the world! I really can hardly wait.” We got you, babe!

According to AOLMusic:  "Cher and her on-again-off-again biker beau, Tim Medvetz, have reportedly recommitted to tying the knot.

"Cher and Tim plan to hop on the back of a chopper this fall and take off on a road trip that will end at a Vegas wedding chapel," an alleged friend of the icon revealed. "This is Cher's last chance at love, and she has her sons Chaz and Elijah Blue to thank."

"Last chance at love...." Really? That quote came from National Enquirer. I mean, looks to me like old girl still has a lot of life left in her.

Apparently, Cher's kids encouraged their famous mom to give love with Medvetz, a 42-year-old Hells Angels biker-turned-mountain climber, another try. "Since neither Chaz nor Elijah is planning on kids, Chaz finally sat Cher down and said, 'Mom, get a life! Go back to Tim!'" the source revealed. "They picked up right where they left off."

"Now Cher is beaming, and Tim told a pal, 'I thought climbing Everest was the ultimate call of the wild, but I think marrying Cher will top that!'" the insider reported. Tim is the founder and president of The Heroes Project, an organization that supports veterans, soldiers and military families, and in which Cher has been involved"

“Lovelies, must clear up, NOT getting married 2 Tim," Cher Tweeted. Well, we'll see, Lovelies, won't we?

Ah, Cher, you are a survivor, and we love you for that, still awaiting your new music -- especially since you promise we can dance to it. "Cockroaches and Cher" is such a famed phrase now (as in "After a nuclear blast the only things left will be....") Even Cher has heard this and laughed about it.
