The Return of Paris Hilton?

My cousin's daughter, Lauren "LoDo" Surratt, who is involved in the dance/hip-hop business with her husband, Tristan, forwarded me a story about Paris Hilton signing with the hip-hop label, Cash Money. Label title sounds appropriate as cash money talks. Paris is promising to deliver a  new "house" album. I suppose much in the style of her 2006 debut.

The socialite's debut album, Paris, charted on the success of its initial single release, "Stars Are Blind," then faltered with releases of further singles. However, the album did go gold in the USA and in Denmark, and "Stars Are Blind" was an international hit.

"Busta Rhymes, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Birdman, Lil Wayne and Paris Hilton all now have something in common," wrote AllHipHop.com.  The name of the new album has not yet been announced.

Must admit that the reggae-based "Stars Are Blind" was a guilty pleasure back in 2006. Below, a remix by Tracy Young. Pretty dreamy, actually.
