Cine Beaverhausen Reviews The Huntsman: Winter's War

The Huntsman: Winter's War is a dark prequel to Snow White. Charlize Theron heads the cast and makes a grand arch-villainess.

Otherwise, Huntsman seems a tad unnecessary and sophomoric. It has great special f/x and strong performances. Direction by Brian Helgeland is sturdy but his original script is undercooked.

For her part, Theron is gorgeous and outstanding. The rest of the cast is very good.Emily Blunt, as Theron's sister is outstanding in her portrayal of fierce sibling rivalry. It's the storyline that's weak.

Nonetheless, the film opened today and so far seems to be a box-office hit. It will be interesting to see how this continues.

Chris Hemsworth portrays the huntsman. He can protect me any time!

A Universal release.
