Results on Our Christmas Poll 2015

YES! The Christmas poll results are in and thanks to my voters!

A dozen votes for "Getting together with friends and family." Doesn't that touch your heart?

Two each for "Hate the holidays" (I love your honesty), "Giving gifts" and "The feasts."

One for "Getting gifts" and "Dressing up." And zero votes for "Prayers/devotions"!

Merry/happy! New poll up soon! Ho-ho-ho!

Halloween Poll Results

The poll is now closed wherein you were asked to vote for your favorite film monster of all time.

Dracula, far and away, was the fans' fave, with a total of 9 votes. The Frankenstein Monster, the 50-Foot Woman and Alien each received 3 votes.

The Werewolf got one vote, lone wolf that he is. The Invisible Man went unseen with zero votes, as did The Mummy.

There were 19 votes in all. Thanks to everyone who took the time to participate. A new poll will appear soon.

Results: the Bob Esty Poll!

The Bob Esty poll on this blog has just closed and here are the results!

Cher's "Take Me Home" is the winner by one vote (16 total votes), just edging out Barbra's "The Main Event" (15 votes). There were 26 participants on the poll in all, and it was possible to vote for more than one song.

Donna Summer's "Last Dance" came in third place with 11 votes tallied.

Cher's roller-disco classic, "Hell on Wheels," was tied with The Weather Girl's "It's Raining Men" at 10 votes each. D.C. LaRue's disco classic "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark" follows with 7 votes cast.

Raquel Welch's camp classic, "This Girl's Back in Town" received 6 votes while the late Andy Williams' "Love Story" theme (disco version) was favored with 5 votes. Ava Cherry's "Streetcar Named Desire" garnished 4 votes.

Thanks to everyone who voted, and to Bob Esty! Bob Esty Month continues, meanwhile, on this blog through April until Bob's birthday (April 20)! Stay tuned!

Poll: Note Error

There is an error on my new poll. Celebrating producer/songwriter Bob Esty this month, the new poll asks you to vote for your favorite Bob Esty songs. Unfortunately, in a tizzy of mad enthusiasm, I erroneously included a song Bob Esty had nothing to do with: Donna Summer's version of "MacArthur's Park." (Mr Esty has a long association with Ms. Summer, however, starting with "Last Dance." My bad.)

The poll could not be edited once people started voting. I ask you to refrain from voting for "MacArthur's Park" as those votes will not be tallied.

My apologies to my readers, my voters and, especially, to Mr Bob Esty.

New Blog Poll: Vote for Your Fave Cher Dance Song

Sorry that I let my expired blog polls sit past their expiration dates, dahlings! But we have a fresh one as of tonight! And it's asking you to vote for your favorite Cher dance tune. Old girl has quite a portfolio of hits here, so I've enabled the poll to accept multiple answers for those amongst us who simply can't make up their minds.

The results will appear after the poll closes on the 19th of November.

Meanwhile, my latest blog about Cher, "Cher Sex Cult Horror," has made it to my Most Popular Posts, now #9. You can see this if you scroll down, looking at the right column.
