Results on Our Christmas Poll 2015

YES! The Christmas poll results are in and thanks to my voters!

A dozen votes for "Getting together with friends and family." Doesn't that touch your heart?

Two each for "Hate the holidays" (I love your honesty), "Giving gifts" and "The feasts."

One for "Getting gifts" and "Dressing up." And zero votes for "Prayers/devotions"!

Merry/happy! New poll up soon! Ho-ho-ho!

Halloween Poll Results

The poll is now closed wherein you were asked to vote for your favorite film monster of all time.

Dracula, far and away, was the fans' fave, with a total of 9 votes. The Frankenstein Monster, the 50-Foot Woman and Alien each received 3 votes.

The Werewolf got one vote, lone wolf that he is. The Invisible Man went unseen with zero votes, as did The Mummy.

There were 19 votes in all. Thanks to everyone who took the time to participate. A new poll will appear soon.

My Latest Poll Results: Best NYC Cabaret

Thanks to everyone who took part in my poll asking you to name your favorite cabaret in NYC.

This was, for all intents and purposes, a blog designed for our amusement and fun, and certainly not a serious, scientific, Nielsen Ratings-styled one.

Cabaret is one of NYC's liveliest arts where the famous and the up-and-coming take to the stage for our entertainment pleasure. It is one of the things New Yorkers and tourists often flock to.

There were sixteen votes cast. The results for my poll (now closed to voting) is as follows:

54 Below
  1 (6%)
BB King's
  2 (12%)
Cafe Carlyle

  2 (12%)

  6 (37%)

January Poll Results

They weren't the GRAMMYs, they were the BUDDYs!  You got to Vote for Best Album of 2014 (from a list hand selected by moi, of course)! And it was, naturally, skewered totally in favor of the pop divas of the day.

Bette Midler's For the Girls garnered the most votes, with Cheek to Cheek (Tony Bennett/ Lady Gaga) cheekily right behind it. Barbra Streisand's Partners (which I disliked and gave a negative review to on this blog) was in third place.

Then, a tie between Aretha's Diva Classics album and Candi Staton's Life Happens! Susan Boyle's Hope and Kristen Chenoweth's Coming Home each received one vote. Which is better than Chrissie Hynde's solo album, Stockholm, did, though I happened to like it!

Thanks to everyone who participated! New poll coming for February. You've been warned.
